what is it? not one plant, but two! my bicolor deutzia is having a love affair with my japanese umbrella pine! scandalous!
and, this is all happening by the garden gate, where the neighbors can see!
when i planted the sciadopitys 10 years ago, it was a foot tall, now it tops 5 feet (the fence is 4 feet.) and the deutzia lovingly embraces it from the other side of the fence.
this photo shows the deutzia's true color, unlike the photo at top, which makes it look more purple than it is.
