it's that odd time of year when the garden is in disarray.
i haven't seen this caterpillar in years; today I saw 2.
I owe this to the juxtaposition of butterfly bush and fennel.
passiflora 'pura vida' is blooming now in the house...
echinacea 'coconut lime' petal-less flower...

Beautiful caterpillar, and this is a lovely juxtaposition of photos! Hmmm....fennel and butterfly bush...thought provoking. And I bet dill would be exquisite planted next to butterfly bush. Unfortunately, butterfly bush is considered a toxic weed in these parts, although we have yet to eradicate it totally from our yard.
