hold the presses! this product appears to be working for my garden!!!! and, it has lasted through several downpours, and is made entirely of herbs and eggs (nothing poisonous.)
daylily bermuda coral - the new deer spray appears to be working, despite drenching rains!
the arisaema is so exquisite and tropical looking, i just had to show it again.

i'm not sure which oriental lily hybrid this is, but it is really pretty.
clethra ruby spice is blooming now.
another rainy day, another flooded basement, another day where bored humans humiliate bored dogs by lining them up in a row for pictures...
and some of us have just had too much of the spaniel puppy visiting again and need a wee nap!
the best things are happening on the deck, where brugmansia pink beauty is still blooming!

so far, the deer spray appears to be working, and this after 2" of rain last night!
the square garden this morning from our 2nd floor...
and an arisaema flower this evening.

my husband got home earlier than i did today and caught these deer lounging in our yard. there were two males and a female. when i got home i let my brave poodle out, and he chased them away. this doe is under the bald cypress near the cercis forest pansy.
"hey, babe, i'm gonna try to score a latte from these nice people to go with these exotic hostas. i just love gf's garden!"
my neighbor bought me a deer repellent spray that she says works for now. i'll try it tomorrow. and, no, we didn't serve lattes to the deer.
the morning of our trip, i snapped this tiger swallowtail on the ellen's blue butterfly bush in the main garden.
i took this in broad daylight, and it really doesn't do it justice. this daylily is bright purple with a green-yellow center. it's of of the prettiest i have (from my brother, of course.)
brugmansia pink beauty is just opening. at night it has an intoxicating, tropical scent.

this is part of a weaving i made today out of rice paper, chiyogami paper, birch bark and grass. the weaving is too large for the scanner bed. i figure the grass will get brown over time.
