BLOOMING INFERNO

record heat and drought do not dissuade the crepe myrtle...
taken from the 2nd floor deck...

and the side of the house

hub's rock wall is progressing beautifully...

arisaema cosanguinium blooms demurely...

one has to experience the profusion of bloom in the potager - this photo does not do it justice.  we don't have ripe tomatoes yet, perhaps next week.

I love your place, and your potager is fantastic. That stone wall is looking great too, and I know is a lot of hard work.

Hi Em,
Here I am, catching up with you at last!
I've been doing a lot of reading lately...rediscovering the joy of getting lost in a good book :)
Hence the lack of blog reading.
Today was a perfect summer day, wasn't it? How lovely to have that awful heatwave behind us.
Your potager is really rewarding all the hard work and care you've put into it...looking beautiful and producing bountifully. That must be satisfying :)
Your magnolias are stunning, and I'll bet you wish the crepe myrtle would bloom for months on end. It's glorious! Doesn't it look great with the color of you house?
Building that rock wall during 90ยบ heat couldn't have been fun for your hubs. He sure is diligent!
