POST CHRISTMAS SNOWSTORM

i'm sure you've heard about the little storm that blanketed the entire east coast yesterday... we got about 18 inches of snow, but it was hard to tell because of the drifts. here's the view out our front door before i shoveled...today sparkled.
here's the potager last night, when we only had a couple of inches of snow...
here it is this morning. the wind carved the paths...
pattern on the garden wagon...
the bench...
river birch...
our christmas tree...
here's all we've been seeing of luna... i'm amazed she goes out at all...
joe joe by the fire...
i hope you are warm, safe, sound and joyous this holiday...

OMG EM!
I did think of you!
The photos are fabulous... Poor Luna ... looks like its too much!
My brother and his wife decided to go to NY for their holiday and her boxing day 50th birthday celebration.... they are wide eyed about it all... had to cancel the birthday restaurant booking for obvious reasons!
Your car has almost disappeared... but the tree makes for a cheery site and you sound really good!
Love the potatger and that shot of the circle patterns!
Best for the festive season!
keep warm,
S

wonderful photos! Doesn't a good snow do wonderful things to the light inside a home?? The dogs are a hoot! Wishing you a Happy New Year! Thanks for all the beauty you have shared with us! Gloria

Your dear pups look so cozy by the fire! I'm glad the snow missed us here in Ohio. I'm not exactly a winter person, that's for sure. It appears I never answered your question about the weird knobby things in the forest, which were cypress knees. I didn't even know cypress would grow here!

Hello em, thanks for stopping by my blog :-)

We’ve seen images on the news of your snowfall/storms. We had a fair bit here in the centre of Scotland too. Nice images there from your garden. Our snow is at the dirty and messy stage now. Most of the garden is still covered yet.

I love your Potager. Very nice. Wishing you all the best for 2011 :-)

In spite of the inconvenience it creates, a good snowstorm has its positive side. It certainly is pretty and makes for beautiful photographs. Yours are gorgeous. I love the way it makes the house so cozy...inside, looking out, that is. But then, I like to go out and wade in the snow too...with the camera, of course :)
The potager looks wonderful in all seasons, and I love that shot of your house. So pretty.
Luna and Joe Joe know how to dream away a winter's day :)
I hope 2011 brings you and your family joy and rich blessings, Em.
