yesterday was cloudy and a great opportunity to photograph my over-the-top tree peony! what's not to love? The deer don't eat this yet, making it an all around winner!

the white cercis canadensis (redbud) is growing like mad. it's difficult to capture how pretty it is.
i've been working on this dwarf apple espalier for about 6 years, and it looks like it might finally produce fruit this year.

the trilliums have multiplied nicely over the last 9 years, and are blooming.
magnolia "ruby" is putting on a paltry show this year, but the flowers are still stupendous.
