happy mother's day to all of you gardeners, artists, visitors... and what a spectacular day it is... the redbud is in bloom in the north garden...
the dogwood is having a banner year...
got out of the shower this week to this steamed view...
after the steam cleared...
this week we hired carters to haul away the fallen retaining wall, which hubs (and i, just a little) sledge-hammered apart...
the tree peony bloomed... sorry i took this without the macro...
taking more photos of the dogwood, i noticed the luna with the back window behind her and the dogwood reflected off the front window...
here's the entire front garden... the part at left has been established for years, the part at right is new and growing...
now the bugloss is blooming under the redbud in the north garden...
i made this arrangement (for me) for mother's day...
(camassia, lilac, columbine, viburnum, euphorbia)
the square garden is really coming into it's own now, though much tidying is needed...
yesterday i made the deck containers... what fun!
and here's the potager, with everything planted except the tomatoes... the squirrel traps are out again, as there's evidence of digging...
happy mother's day to all!

Your garden is looking beautiful! I so love early spring! The window/dogwood/dog photo series is wonderful....So great that you were able to see and capture the atmospheric conditions. Best, Gloria
Looks like it was a gorgeous day in your garden, Em. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day and thanks for the MD wishes. I did have a lovely day :) Thanks for letting me know the name of the fringed tulip and sharing the link for Epimediums.
Guess what? Last Tuesday I found 3 of them at the nursery where I work (all the same variety)! So naturally, I brought one home :) It's the little red one like yours. I think it might be the same one. What's yours called again? Is it Bandit? Anyway, I'm very excited to have found one.
Your dogwood is spectacular and those views through the window must make you very happy.
Beautiful photos, all, and your bouquet is gorgeous.
I hope you're enjoying your time at home. The sunshine lately has been so welcome.
All is well here and the tulips are spectacular.
