SUMMER UPDATE

so much work to make this...

so that 2 months later, it looks like this...

at work we've been watching the killdeer lay spotted eggs
and hatch the cutest chicks, which then disappear

the entry garden to the potager...

went crazy with container plants this year...
couldn't decide on a color theme...
this is the blue/yellow section

the red/orange/black group

pink/red/purple

the selection this year at rosedale was spectacular;
i couldn't control myself

saturday, july 5th, was cool enough to bake oat scones
it's a lovely summer so far!

LONDON: BRICK LANE STREET ART

we traveled to london in march...
more on the gardens later...
we happened upon street art in the brick lane area - i started noticing some really fine paintings, and then saw actual tour groups! so here are the best photos... the streets were slanted, and the light was not the best, as this was not planned.

artist at work on the painting below

here's a street scene... note the pink monster at top and the car with the antlered grenade thingy... and the red car in the box. this quirky, entertaining neighborhood also had wonderful markets with food from all around the world.
