i'm sure you've heard about the little storm that blanketed the entire east coast yesterday... we got about 18 inches of snow, but it was hard to tell because of the drifts. here's the view out our front door before i shoveled...today sparkled.

happy thanksgiving to everyone! i made this arrangement today with flowers from the potager:sunset the other day...
we have not yet had a hard frost. i did trim the dwarf spruce for eventual holiday lighting...
the bald cypress is one of the few deciduous trees still cloaked with leaves...
this little enkianthus is always a startling scarlet.
