FINALLY MAY

finally it's may... my favorite month... and i find myself between contracts and looking for my next gig... there is not be a better time to be unemployed, when i can work in the potager near this...

here's how i feel... pulled in many directions...

on the fringe of my once-coworkers...

 optimistic...

and... well, i just don't know what this tulip might represent, but i like the way the light passes through it...

this clematis is new and i look forward to seeing it bloom! promise, that's what i need!

this akebia is strangling the cherry once again, and i must rescue it...

anemone, so pure in this morning's light...

i know i over-enthuse about magnolia 'daybreak'...

cutest epimedium on earth!  bandit earlier this week...

 and today...

the potager, which is soon to be full of stuff! thanks for visiting on this wondrous may day...

  3. Hi Em,

I always love stopping by here because you have such diversity in your garden. I've always loved the early spring flowers and ephemerals. We had many in our former garden but have simplified this garden.... Hope the perfect contract comes along soon, but until then, I agree -- enjoy!!

Good luck in your job hunt! I was a preschool teacher for years, and dearly loved having summers off to play in the garden. Sounds like your weather is much better than ours. It's chilly and wet, wet, wet! The paper said we are supposed to be rainy all through May. Wahhhhh!

  6. Yes Em, finally May! Now all we need is warmth!!
I've been busy working at the nursery and not finding much time for the garden..and none for the blog lately.
Tulips have joined the daffs and are looking gorgeous.
You have some real beauties. Glad you have time right now to potter in the potager. It's beautiful with the tulips blooming. Is the fringed one 'Blue Heron'? I have that one.
I would enthuse too if I had 'Daybreak':) It's fabulous!
Hope you soon find a job you'll enjoy, but meanwhile...have fun in your garden!
